Can Megan Fox "transform" into Lara Croft?

In the midst of all these origin stories and reboots popping up in 2009, *ahem X-Men, Star Trek, and Terminator*, and a QOTD on Hollywood remakes (will they EVER stop?!), I caught wind of a newest addition to the Tomb Raider movie franchise.

In an interview, producer Dan Lin (to whom we owe the latest Terminator Salvation and has a resume of other existing franchises) has confirmed that a Lara Croft origin story is in the works, he also expressed that there is no intention to include Angelina Jolie, the original star of the first two movies. No Angelina since they're looking at a younger Lara. In addition, Lin promises that this movie is more character driven and more "realistic than the first two Lara Croft movies."

Oh no! No Angie?!

So who can we expect to see? The rumor mill has cited Transformers star and buzzing hottie Megan Fox as the forerunner in the casting race, but nothing has been confirmed from either party and Megan's spokespeople have denied it.

I can see it...

Would you cast Megan Fox? If not, who's your ideal younger Angelina/Lara?

hmmm... I don't know about this remake. It wasn't too long ago that the first one came out, whereas it had been a little while for the other franchises. Did they say it would be along the same story lines? Megan Fox fits the look, but I'm not so sure she's ready to support a whole movie by herself. Quite frankly, I don't think she's that great of an actress.

Megan Fox totally fits, although she's said that she doesn't want to do it because she doesn't want people to think she's trying to be Angelina :|

I think she can do it. But she is probably going to have to have major training both acting and fighting wise. I'm not sure if she can or can't hold a movie. All I know is that she isn't a bad or a great actress because the movies and roles she has showcased don't really sway either way.

Um, maybe.. It's just that, I get used to see Angie as Lara Croft. That's all.
