Plaid is the poison, I've gots the remedy!

I've already expressed my incredible frustration with the dreaded plaid print, but what good is complaining without seeking a remedy?

I enlisted the help of online fashion community Polyvore in order to put together sets of viable pattern alternatives bound to be loads more interesting and less annoying to my eyes than stacked duotone squares.

Feeling worldly? Meet the Aztec:

The colors and funky shapes of the Aztec print add a little something fresh and exotic, yet earthy.

Love Tetris? Try something Geometric:

Lines and angles give a nice clean look while offering a playful new way to sport colorful options that many of us love about plaid.
Getting girly? Flirt with Florals:
Plaid can get a bit manly, take a break with floral print mixed with boyfriend pieces. A perfect balance of cute and comfy.

So what do you think? Would you help me accelerate the plaid fad fade out and pick up on one of these? Or do you have some ideas of your own?

I like the geometric one, but to be honest I've always loved plaid. Though I admit it has gotten a little overkill.

Polyvore is quite addicting!

Those clothes are all so cute! I'm a really big fan of floral dresses, easy to throw on and so comfortable. I also know that when it gets a little colder out I am going to live in those boyfriend blazers, so cute and comfy.

Can you be a stylist?
I love that whole aztec thing. Except people here are still buying the plaid and fluro colours.

I actually love plaid, but it's gotten a little much. And now, it's not even technically plaid. It's just checker or whatever.

However, floral dresses are always cute.

i love the aztec dress and the floral patterns! (although i do have a plaid shirt that i've had for a long time, that i love wearing) but people are overdoing the plaid a lot.
